03/16/04   Brenda Cagle Follow up with Cornell's nursery to determine whether they have any type of guarantee for their trees.
2/17/04   Greens Committee Using the Forestry Management Plan, the tree inventory database, and recommendations made by Lou Sebesta, create a working plan for 2004.

3/16 - Also get a list of hazardous trees from Dan Streib.

7/20 - Received a list of hazardous trees from Dan Streib.  

1/20/04   David Seymour Need to determine who will pay for trees (in 2004) that need to be cut down or pruned.  Will the village cover this cost, or does it come from the Village Green funds?

2/17 - Dan Streib is responsible for tree removal in the village.  He agreed to work with the Village Green to remove the necessary trees.  He is not authorized to prune trees, so this is still an open item.

1/20/04   Officers Investigate establishing an ordinance that requires utility companies to get permission before they are allowed to prune trees in the village.
1/20/04   Officers Review the existing tree ordinance and determine if any updates are required.

Investigate partnering up with Central Hudson to try and ensure more accurate removal of village trees in the future.

1/20 - David and Christina will send a letter to Central Hudson and schedule a meeting.

2/17 - Joe Tishner, from Central Hudson, will be attending our March meeting.  He will also be sent an invitation to our kickoff meeting.

4/20 - Joe did not attend our March meeting or our kickoff meeting.  Need to follow up.

7/20 - Gave Joe a list of trees that are under 3 phase wires.  He has requested a list of trees that are under service wires as well.

Update map that tracks the village trees.  Need to indicate those removed, those replanted, and those planned to be planted.  Karen Cadorette currently has the map.  Need to get the list of trees removed this past fall.

1/20 - Karen will update the map with the new trees planted this past fall.  The map will reflect only new trees planted.

Investigate moving the responsibility and funding for tree removal to the Village Green committee.

1/20 - David will discuss with the Village Board.

3/16 - David will make this request at the 3/30 presentation of the Forestry Management Plan to the Village Board.

4/20 - The village attorney is reviewing the request.

Contact Dar Williams to see if she would hold a benefit concert in 2004 to help raise funds for the Village Green.

1/20 - On hold until after Dar has her baby.

5/25 - Evelyn is hopeful that she can arrange this concert in the future.

Fundraising Committee

Need a system to track our donors, the amounts, and whether or not a receipt has been sent out. 

1/20 - No progress.

5/27 – Also need a way to flag donors that requested and received trees so that we can notify them of upcoming fundraising efforts and seminars on how to care for trees.

01/28/03   Officers Need to form a separate committee to oversee the Village Hall Landscape project.

To-do from 01/07/03 meeting combined with this item...  Committee should get from David Seymour a list of the 5 landscapers that will receive a request for a bid on the Village Hal Landscape project and let David know if additional landscapers should be added to the list.

1/20 - This project has been put on the back burner until the issue regarding the Village Hall's oil tanks is resolved.

1/28 – There is a new manager at Adams, so David wants to hand-carry a letter to Adams this week.
