Minutes of Last Meeting
| The minutes from the March meeting were
not reviewed. |
Topics Discussed:
| We will meet on Sunday, April 24th, to mark the tree sites for the spring
planting, which will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30th. Lunch
will be provided at the Elmendorf Inn after the planting, and Tiberio's
IGA will provide sandwiches and drinks.

| Evelyn gave an update on the Village Green's financial status.
The general fund for 2004 has been exhausted. Our 2005/2006 budget from the village is $15,000
for trimming and pruning. We have $4,669 in our development fund.

| We were certified as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Society.
We were also awarded a Growth Award for going beyond the requirements for Tree City USA designation.
To win the Growth Award, we were required to write up our accomplishments and send this report to the
National Arbor Day Foundation.

| We considered applying for a grant from the national 4-H organization.
The local 4-H'ers are very busy with other projects and the deadline for this application is May 6.
Therefore, we decided not to pursue this opportunity.

| Evelyn and Christina Staubi have been working to update our website.
Currently, they are finishing up the commemorative tree page.
