Tuesday,
March 15, 2005 Minutes
Attendees:
Catherine Dickert, David Seymour, Evelyn Kruger, Brenda Cagle, Jeanne Duntz Open the
Meeting
 | The
meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Catherine. |
Minutes of Last Meeting
 | The minutes from the February meeting were
accepted with no changes required. |
Old Business:
 | On March 1st, Village Green members
met to choose tree species and varieties for the spring planting.
We made a preliminary list that may be modified by the selection at
Schichtel's Nursery. |
 | Our Bakeless Bake Sale has raised
$750.00 to date. |
 | We decided to postpone planting any
trees along Fire House Lane until fall in order to learn more about
potential development planned for that area. This would enable our
trees to be planted out of the way of construction and in areas where
they will best compliment new development. |
 | As of the meeting date, we had
received only 4 letters from homeowners granting permission for the
Village Green to plant a street tree on their property. We plan to
visit additional homeowners in the near future to find additional
planting sites. |
New Business:
 | We decided to plant 10 trees this
spring and to focus on maintenance due for existing trees. |
 | David said he would try to get the
Village Green their own mail slot in the village hall so that we can get
mail addressed directly to us. |
 | We decided to work on updating the To
Do List at the April meeting. |
 | We are considering donating one tree
to the Town of Red Hook in order to encourage a new Town Greens
organization that would plant trees in the Town of Red Hook. |
Motion to Close Meeting
 | The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m. |
Next Meeting
 | Our next meeting will be held on
Tuesday, April 19th, at 7:00 p.m. in the village hall. |
