The Red Hook Village Green Committee sponsored a citizen pruning workshop.  The workshop was held on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., beginning at the Red Hook Village Hall.  Lou Sebesta, NYS DEC Forester, trained several attendees in proper pruning techniques.  The workshop began with a short talk at the Village Hall, followed by hands-on demonstrations in the Village center.  The event was open to the public.  Workshop attendees were invited to join the Village Green's citizen pruner program, in which citizens will help maintain the village's smaller street trees.
