Get Involved with a Committee

Greens
The Greens Committee implements the community forestry program and other ecological activities. It researches appropriate species and practices, finds suppliers and undertakes plantings and other projects. Contact Brenda Cagle at 758-0504 or brendacagle@yahoo.com to help.

Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee raises additional money to supplement the budget granted by the village, enabling the Village Green to better pursue its goals. It is also responsible for keeping track of the group’s expenses. Contact Evelyn Krueger at 758-0117 or krueger@bard.edu to help.

Communications
From recruiting individuals to establishing liaisons with schools, youth groups, community organizations and businesses, the Communications Committee works to get the community involved with all of the Village’s Green’s efforts, providing hands-on learning opportunities even as it more generally educates the public. It also keeps local print and broadcast media informed about the group’s efforts through press releases, interviews, etc. Finally, it is responsible for the development and maintenance of both this website and the group’s archives.
