April 30, 2005 – Arbor Day Celebration
On Saturday, April 30th, in observance of Arbor Day, members of the Village Green and many volunteers planted 11 new trees throughout the village.  See pictures from the event.

The 4H group, "Busy-Buddies", and their leader, Victoria Rolfe, did a fine job of mulching the trees for us on Sunday, May 1st.

For their caring and generosity, we would like to thank Greenspace Enterprises and Integral Tree and Landscape for volunteering to help with the planting, Tiberio's IGA for providing lunch to the hard-working group, and the Friends of Elmendorph, Inc. for let us use the Elmendorph Inn for our lunch. We especially would like to thank the hard-working Dan Streib for digging all of the holes for the trees!

Also, in observance of Arbor Day, the Village Green donated and planted a tree in the Town of Red Hook (see picture) to help the town get started with their own tree program.
